30 Minutes or Less (2011)

30 Minutes or Less (2011) is an American action comedy film directed by Ruben Fleischer. It follows Nick Davis, a pizza delivery driver who struggles to meet the ’30 Minutes or Less’ policy, much to the dissatisfaction of his boss. In the midst of this, Nick’s longtime friend Chet learns that Nick had a fling with his twin sister, Kate, on their high school graduation night – leading Chet to end their friendship. Meanwhile, Dwayne Mikowlski and Travis Cord are unhappy and resentful living under Dwayne’s domineering father, Jerry ‘The Major’, who won big in the lottery a decade ago. Desperate for a way out, Dwayne confides in lap-dancer Juicy about his disdain for his father and his expected inheritance. A plan is devised to abduct a random person, attach a bomb to his chest, and use him as a means to obtain money for a hired killer.
While waiting for a delivery driver at their hideout, Dwayne and Travis spring into action and render the unsuspecting Nick unconscious. When he regains consciousness, Nick discovers that he has been outfitted with an explosive vest equipped with both a timer and phone-operated detonators. In order to prevent the bomb from going off, Nick must secure $100,000 within ten hours. Any involvement with law enforcement will result in the immediate detonation of the bomb. Seeking help, Nick turns to Chet and reluctantly shares his predicament. Together, they come up with a plan to rob a bank in order to meet the ransom demands. Determined to see this through, Nick even quits his job on the way to executing their scheme. Before embarking on their dangerous mission, however, he makes sure to bid a final farewell to Kate.
