3000 Miles to Graceland (2001)

Demian Lichtenstein directed and co-produced the American action comedy film, 3000 Miles to Graceland (2001). Recently released from prison, Michael Zane makes a stop at a rundown desert motel near Las Vegas. While there, he encounters a young boy named Jesse trying to steal from his car. Michael follows Jesse back to his mother, Cybil Waingrow, and ends up seducing her. The next day, Michael is joined by four men – Murphy, Hanson, Gus, and Franklin – who are all dressed as Elvis for their planned robbery of the Riviera hotel during an Elvis convention. A shootout ensues and Franklin is killed during their escape. Upon returning to the motel, tensions rise between Hanson and Murphy over Franklin’s share of the stolen money. In the midst of their argument, Murphy shoots Hanson. Unbeknownst to them, Jesse has been watching all along as Michael hides the money in the crawl space.
Later on, the remaining three thieves head into the desert to bury Hanson but things take a turn when Murphy returns alone after shooting both Gus and Michael. However, before reaching the motel he crashes his car and is knocked unconscious. After surviving the shooting, Michael, clad in a bulletproof vest, returns to the motel and discovers the money is gone. Suspecting Jesse’s involvement, he barges into Cybil’s residence and locates the stolen cash. Offering a bribe to Cybil initially, he eventually agrees to let her and Jesse come along as they make their escape. Michael reveals that the money is marked and suggests seeking help from Murphy’s contact in Idaho, a skilled money launderer named Peterson.
