Rings (2005) is an American supernatural horror short film that serves as both a sequel to The Ring and a prelude to the opening sequence of The Ring Two. It was initially included as an extra disc accompanying the re-release of The Ring on DVD. Following the events of The Ring, Samara Morgan’s infamous videotape has spread like wildfire, with each person who views it creating copies and passing them on. This has resulted in the formation of a subculture centered around the tape, where individuals test their bravery by waiting until the last possible moment before showing it to someone else. These groups are known as ‘rings’.
