A Pixar film, Inside Out (2015), tells the story of a young girl named Riley and her core emotions: Joy, Sadness, Fear, Disgust, and Anger. Each night, Riley’s experiences turn into colored orbs that shape her long-term memories. These memories create five floating islands that represent her most important ‘core memories’.
