George A. Romero wrote and directed Diary of the Dead (2007), a found footage horror film. The movie follows a news crew as they capture an immigrant man killing his wife and son before taking his own life. The wife and son then turn into zombies, attacking and killing medical personnel and police officers, leaving only a medic and a reporter bitten before being killed themselves.
