The American animated film, Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invaders (2000), follows a group on their search for alien lifeforms at the SALF station. As they receive a loud reading that suddenly disappears, Max, Laura, and Steve pick up something strange on the radar. This leads them to a desert where the Mystery Machine takes a wrong turn into government property during a sandstorm. The van crashes in a small town after Shaggy mistakes a UFO for a turn signal. While Shaggy and Scooby-Doo stay with the van, the rest of the gang seeks help at a nearby diner. Scooby-Doo and the Witch’s Ghost (1999) is an American direct-to-video animated film that combines elements of supernatural horror and comedy. After renowned horror writer Ben Ravencroft helps Velma Dinkley and Mystery Inc. with a case at a museum, he invites them to his hometown of Oakhaven, Massachusetts.
