Arcane (2021–2024) is an animated steampunk action-adventure series, co-created by Christian Linke and Alex Yee, and produced by the French animation studio Fortiche. Distributed by Netflix, the show is set in Riot’s League of Legends universe and primarily follows sisters Vi and Jinx. Its first season was announced at the League of Legends 10th anniversary celebration in 2019, with a release date in November 2021. Soon after its successful debut, Riot Games and Netflix confirmed that a second season is currently in production and will be released in November 2024. The show has received widespread acclaim for its animation, story, worldbuilding, action sequences, characters, emotional depth, sound design, and voice acting. Will this power bring prosperity or destruction? This is the world of Arcane.
