Protagonist Robert Rath, plagued by guilt over his past deed of killing mentor Nicolai, is ready to hang up his deadly profession. However, his plans are halted when he finds out that fellow assassin Miguel Bain has taken out one of Rath’s assigned targets. Despite admiring Rath, Bain also wishes to eliminate him in order to claim the title of the world’s greatest hitman. As Rath delves into uncovering who hired Bain for the job, his employer presents him with an enticing offer: retire after completing one last mission – take out computer hacker Electra and her four Dutch associates while retrieving a valuable disk she possesses.
But the catch is that Electra’s base is equipped with extensive surveillance and a complex system for moving objects between rooms. At the designated location for the buy, Bain eliminates four people who turn out to be Interpol agents. Recognizing that they both have their sights set on the same target once again, Rath spares Electra and they escape with the disk. Frightened by the events, Electra retreats to her home. However, both Bain and Rath are able to locate her separately. As a fight ensues, Bain ends up killing Electra’s neighbors and has his sights set on her next. Thankfully, Rath steps in before it’s too late. Realizing Rath has no intention of harming her, Electra decides to trust him. In exchange for his payment, Rath receives a briefcase containing the disk.
