Bachelor Party (1984)
Bachelor Party (1984), an American sex comedy film directed by Neal Israel, follows the story of Rick Gassko. As a wild partygoer and Catholic school bus driver, he surprises his friends by announcing his plans to settle down with his girlfriend, Debbie Thompson. Overwhelmed by the news, his friend Jay leads the charge in organizing an unforgettable bachelor party. However, Debbie’s conservative parents disapprove of their relationship and seek help from her ex-boyfriend Cole to break them apart. As Debbie attends her bridal shower arranged by her friends while Rick attends his lavish bachelor party in a hotel suite, both parties are thrown off track due to Cole’s interference.
As the bachelor party heats up, Debbie and the girls decide to have their own festivities in order to get even with Rick and his friends. The two parties ultimately collide, resulting in Debbie accusing Rick of being unfaithful. Things at the bachelor party escalate into a wild, alcohol-fueled frenzy, causing damage to the hotel room which angers its already-frustrated manager. To make matters worse, Rick’s friend Brad is feeling down over his recent divorce and makes several unsuccessful attempts at taking his own life. Despite the chaos, Rick manages to convince Debbie of his love and loyalty, but their reunion is cut short when the police arrive to break up the mayhem. In the chaos that ensues, Rick and Debbie are separated and Cole takes Debbie hostage, prompting Rick and his friends to chase after them.
