Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022)

In the film Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022), based on the beloved characters of the same name, we follow Chip and Dale as they navigate their friendship and careers in a world where humans and cartoon characters coexist. Starting out as best friends in elementary school, they eventually move to Hollywood and find success in acting. However, when Dale gets his own show, their relationship takes a turn for the worse and both of their shows end up getting cancelled. Fast forward thirty years, Chip is now an insurance salesman while Dale travels to fan conventions. But when their former co-star Monterey Jack reaches out for help after getting into trouble with the Valley Gang due to his cheese addiction, Chip and Dale are thrust back into action. They soon discover a sinister operation involving kidnapped toons who have had their appearances altered and are being forced to produce bootleg versions of their works overseas for the rest of their lives. As they try to uncover the truth behind this trafficking ring, they receive news that Monty has been captured by the criminals themselves.

Police Captain Putty and Officer Ellie Steckler meet with Chip and Dale, who share their plan to investigate the Valley Gang after learning that the police cannot intervene. First, they visit Bjornson the Cheesemonger, Monty’s cheese dealer, to gather information. Next, they travel to the uncanny valley part of town where they encounter Sweet Pete, the gang’s leader, along with Bob and Jimmy. Pete attempts to capture them when he realizes they are onto his bootlegging business but the chipmunks manage to escape. Later on, they reveal their findings to Ellie, who explains that she was reprimanded by Putty for a previous unsuccessful mission at the Nick Jr. studios. Working together, Chip and Dale sneak into a bathhouse to steal Pete’s fitness tracker and use it to track his movements. The tracker leads them to an abandoned dock warehouse where they discover a machine used for altering toons’ bodies and various body parts, including Monty’s mustache.
