Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (1989 — 1990)

Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers (1989–1990) is a popular American animated adventure comedy television series produced by Walt Disney Television Animation. Created by Tad Stones and Alan Zaslove, it follows the adventures of iconic Disney characters Chip ‘n’ Dale in a new setting. Originally premiering on The Disney Channel, the series later entered national syndication on September 18, 1989. It often aired alongside other beloved shows such as DuckTales and TaleSpin in the afternoons. From 1990 to 1993, it was also included in The Disney Afternoon lineup for reruns. It was briefly shown on Toon Disney in 1998 before being removed ten years later. However, fans can now enjoy the entire series (as one season) fully remastered in HD on Disney+, which launched on November 12, 2019. Additionally, the series was released on Blu-ray through Disney Movie Club on January 25, 2022, and will be available elsewhere starting February 15, 2022.

Chip and Dale, along with their friends Gadget Hackwrench, Monterey Jack, and Zipper, establish a detective agency called Rescue Rangers. As pint-sized detectives, they take on cases that are considered ‘too small’ for the police to handle. Their clients are typically other animals. Challenging them on their journey are two familiar adversaries: the Mafia-esque tabby cat Fat Cat and the deranged inventor Norton Nimnul.
