Close Enough (2020–2022) is an American adult animated sitcom created by J. G. Quintel. Initially planned to debut on TBS in 2017, the project faced multiple setbacks before finally airing on HBO Max on July 9, 2020. Critics have praised the series, drawing comparisons to Quintel’s previous work, Regular Show, which ran from 2010-2017 on Cartoon Network. However, after three seasons, HBO Max announced the show’s cancellation in July 2022 and it was subsequently removed from the service a month later. For international audiences, Close Enough was available on Netflix until May 2023 when it was taken down from the platform.
In their early 30s, Josh and Emily reside in a Los Angeles duplex with their young daughter, Candice. Their divorced friends, Alexander and Bridgette, also share the space with them. From time to time, they encounter typical household problems that often spiral into bizarre scenarios with elements of science fiction or fantasy.
