Condor (2018 — 2020)

Condor (2018–2020) is a thriller series based on James Grady’s novel Six Days of the Condor and its 1975 film adaptation Three Days of the Condor, written by Lorenzo Semple Jr. and David Rayfiel. The show features Max Irons in the lead role. Created by Todd Katzberg, Jason Smilovic, and Ken Robinson, it first aired on June 6, 2018 on Audience. Despite being renewed for a second season in July 2018, Audience announced their departure from their current format in January 2020. The already-filmed second season premiered on June 9, 2020 on C More and RTÉ2. In December 2020, Epix picked up the existing two seasons. Joe Turner, an idealistic millennial who joins the CIA with hopes to reform it from within, uncovers a secret plan that could endanger millions of lives. After his office is attacked by professional killers, Joe finds himself in a dangerous battle against elements of the military-industrial complex.
Joe Turner, an analyst for IEP, a front company of the CIA, is summoned to the situation room after his algorithm determines that Arab-American man Ammar Nazari poses a 12 per cent likelihood of carrying out a terrorist attack. Feeling uneasy about the potential misuse of his program, Turner considers stepping down from his position. However, he learns that the FBI has discovered biological agents on Nazari and realizes he may have been planning to release pneumonic plague at a Washington, DC stadium. In light of this revelation, Turner and his team are hailed as heroes and begin investigating the thwarted attack. During their investigation, Turner uncovers suspicious purchases of pharmaceutical stocks before the incident occurred, causing demand for ciprofloxacin to skyrocket. Upon learning this information, covert operative Nathan Fowler sends a team of assassins to eliminate Turner and his team in order to cover up his involvement in orchestrating the false flag attack on the stadium. Despite being under threat, Turner narrowly escapes onto a train. Later on, a U.S. diplomat smuggles the plague bacteria into Saudi Arabia in a diplomatic bag.
