Creed III (2023)

Creed III (2023) is an American sports drama film directed by Michael B. Jordan, marking his debut as a director. Serving as the sequel to 2018’s Creed II, it is the third installment in the Creed series and ninth in the Rocky franchise. In 2002 Los Angeles, Adonis ‘Donnie’ Creed watches his friend and mentor, Golden Gloves champion ‘Diamond’ Dame Anderson, compete in an underground boxing match. Inspired by Dame’s aspirations to turn professional and become a world champion, Donnie joins him on a detour to a liquor store. However, a sudden confrontation with a man named Leon leads to Donnie impulsively attacking him and Dame getting arrested while Donnie flees the scene.

Fast forward to the present day where three years have passed since Donnie’s victory over ‘Pretty’ Ricky Conlan. Having since retired from boxing, he now focuses on his wife Bianca and their young daughter Amara who has a hearing impairment that has led them all to become fluent in American Sign Language. Donnie, with the help of Tony ‘Little Duke’ Evers Jr., manages the Delphi Boxing Academy. He is currently promoting his protégé, world champion Felix ‘El Guerrero’ Chavez, in a highly anticipated match against Viktor Drago. As Donnie keeps a close eye on his adoptive mother Mary-Anne’s deteriorating health, Amara shares his passion for boxing and gets into trouble at school after punching a bully.
