Critters 3 (1991)

Critters 3 (1991) is the third installment in the American science fiction comedy horror series directed by Kristine Peterson. Following the events of Critters 2: The Main Course, Charlie MacFadden continues his mission to track down the remaining Critters. While on their way, a family of three – consisting of protagonist Annie, her younger brother Johnny, and their father Clifford – make a stop at a rest stop due to a popped tire. Unbeknownst to them, Charlie warns them and Josh (the stepson of a corrupt landlord) about the Critters lurking around. As they leave the rest stop, a sneaky Critter manages to lay eggs under their car before they drive off with it.

Upon arriving at their tenement, the eggs hatch and one of the slimy creatures attacks Frank, a sleazy maintenance man. Upon the landlord’s arrival, he too falls victim to the Critters. Josh unintentionally traps his stepfather with the creatures by locking him in Clifford’s room. Another resident is then wounded in an attack. In an attempt to survive, Annie, her family, and five others (including Josh) make their way to the roof of the building. Charlie shows up and eliminates the remaining Critters, thus rescuing the remaining tenants. The film concludes with a suspenseful moment as Charlie prepares to destroy two Critter eggs, but is instructed not to do so when a containment pod from the Intergalactic Council crashes into the basement.
