DC League of Super-Pets (2022)
Coming to theaters in 2022, DC League of Super-Pets (2022) is an animated superhero comedy from Warner Animation Group, DC Entertainment, and Seven Bucks Productions. The film follows the story of Superman, who grows up with his loyal Kryptonian Labrador Retriever named Krypto. However, when Superman starts dating Lois Lane, Krypto becomes jealous and so Superman decides to find him a friend at an animal shelter. This is where they meet Ace, a Boxer trying to escape. Meanwhile, their archenemy Lex Luthor plans to use orange kryptonite to gain superpowers by reeling in a meteor with a tractor beam. Thankfully, the two are joined by their fellow members of the Justice League: Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg, and Aquaman.
As Lulu, a guinea pig test subject from LexCorp, discovers a piece of orange kryptonite and gains the ability to fly and move objects with her mind, she unknowingly triggers similar transformations in her fellow shelter animals. Ace now possesses immense strength and invincibility, PB can alter his size at will, Merton gains incredible speed despite his poor eyesight, and Chip develops the power to control electricity out of his own anxiety. Meanwhile, as Superman and Krypto argue over Clark’s plans to propose to Lois back at home, Lulu captures Clark. In the midst of Krypto’s attempt to rescue him, he unexpectedly loses his powers due to consuming green kryptonite hidden within Jarlsberg cheese.
