Deadpool (2016)

Based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, Deadpool (2016) is an American superhero film distributed by 20th Century Fox and serves as the eighth installment in the X-Men film series. The protagonist, Wade Wilson, works as a small-time mercenary until he meets and falls in love with Vanessa. However, their idyllic life takes a turn when Wilson is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Fortunately, a man offers him a cure that would grant him superhero powers. Despite initially declining, Wilson agrees and meets Ajax, the mastermind behind the project. During the treatment process, it becomes clear that it involves transforming into a mutant and undergoing painful tests to discover his abilities.

On top of that, Ajax is known for being a sadist. After undergoing the treatment, Wilson gains accelerated healing abilities, but also suffers severe disfigurement. Despite being held captive by Ajax, he manages to escape and is now determined to achieve two goals: locating Vanessa and seeking revenge against Ajax. However, taking down Ajax may prove to be a challenge as he too possesses mutant powers. Plus, Deadpool (aka Wade Wilson) must also contend with the interference of superhero Colossus and his sidekick Negasonic Teenage Warhead.
