Bad Country (2014) is an American crime drama film based on a true story. Set in 1983 in the South Louisiana bayou country, Lt. Bud Case from the Baton Rouge PD makes a breakthrough by arresting Jesse Weiland, known for his involvement in various criminal activities and a previous rap sheet. This comes after an undercover operation targeting a precious gems fencing operation run by Weiland.
