The mystery film Enola Holmes 2 (2022) is the sequel to the 2020 film Enola Holmes, both starring Millie Bobby Brown as the teen sister of Sherlock Holmes. Despite opening her own detective agency, Enola faces difficulty in gaining clients compared to her renowned brother, Sherlock Holmes. One day, a working-class girl named Bessie approaches Enola for help in locating her sister Sarah Chapman. Bessie takes Enola to the match factory where Sarah and her co-worker Mae are employed, but they are met with an outbreak of typhus.
While there, Enola meets Mae who also worked with the missing sisters. After tracking Mae to the Paragon Theatre where she and Sarah both dance, Enola discovers a letter addressed to Sarah from a mysterious admirer. On her way back home, Enola stumbles upon a drunken Sherlock and brings him to his residence at 221B Baker Street. As it turns out, Sherlock is struggling to solve his latest case involving government officials being blackmailed, without any leads on the source of the funds.
