F9: The Fast Saga (2021)

An American action film, F9: The Fast Saga (2021), was directed by Justin Lin and co-written by Daniel Casey. It is the ninth main installment and tenth overall in the Fast & Furious franchise, serving as a sequel to The Fate of the Furious (2017). In 1989, Jack Toretto’s sons Dominic and Jakob were part of his pit crew during a late model race on a short track. Dom got into an argument with rival racer Kenny Linder over his dirty tactics. During the race, Jack’s car crashed and burned after Linder clipped his bumper, resulting in his death. Dom was arrested for attacking Linder shortly after but while serving his sentence, he remembered that Jakob had worked on their father’s car the day he died and came to the conclusion that Jakob was responsible for their father’s death. Upon release, Dom challenged Jakob to a race and forced him to leave town when he lost. Thirty years later, Dom is retired and living with his wife Letty Ortiz and their son Brian. Their friends Roman Pearce, Tej Parker, and Ramsey bring news that Mr. Nobody’s plane was attacked by rogue agents who abducted Cipher after her arrest for cyberterrorism.

After realizing Jakob’s involvement, Dom agrees to help the team. They search the plane and discover a portion of Project Aries, a powerful device capable of hacking into any weapons system. However, their mission is interrupted by Jakob and his private army who steal the device. Luckily, Michael Stasiak aids in their escape to a safe house by the Caspian Sea. Soon after, Dom’s sister Mia arrives to offer her assistance. As they delve deeper into their investigation, they uncover Han Lue’s connection to Project Aries. In order to get more information, Letty and Mia head to Tokyo while Jakob meets with his associate and financier Otto. Meanwhile, at their base, Cipher reveals that the other half of Aries can be found in Edinburgh. To track down Jakob in London, Dom seeks help from his father’s mechanic Buddy who took Jakob under his wing after he was exiled. Over in Tokyo, Letty and Mia are shocked to find Han alive along with his ward Elle. On a separate mission, Roman and Tej recruit Sean Boswell, Twinkie and Earl who have been working on a “rocket car” in Germany.
