Something, something, something, Dark Side (2010)

Something, Something, Something, Dark Side (2010) is an animated special from Family Guy and the 20th episode of its eighth season. It follows the Star Wars parody trilogy Laugh It Up, Fuzzball. While the Griffin family watches TV, the power goes out and Peter takes the opportunity to retell The Empire Strikes Back. An Imperial Star Destroyer deploys droids to find the Rebel Alliance and one (Joe) lands on Hoth, where Luke Skywalker (Chris) is attacked by a wampa (Cookie Monster). Meanwhile, Han Solo (Peter) announces he’s leaving the Rebellion to Princess Leia (Lois) and Carlist Rieekan (Dr. Hartman), who objects but denies it when confronted. Instead, she claims she’d rather kiss George Takei. Concerned about Luke’s whereabouts, Han sets out on his ‘Dondon’ to find him.

After Luke escapes the wampa lair, he has a vision of his late mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi (Herbert), who advises him to seek out Jedi Master Yoda in the Dagobah system to learn the ways of the Force. Han quickly finds and rescues Luke. As they make their escape, the Empire discovers the Rebel base, prompting Darth Vader (Stewie) to order an attack. However, due to a mistake by the Imperial fleet, the Rebels have time to evacuate while Luke leads a squadron of snowspeeders against the battalion of Imperial Walkers. As Imperial stormtroopers break into the base, Han must flee with Leia, C-3PO (Quagmire), and Chewbacca (Brian) in the Millennium Falcon. Meanwhile, Luke takes off in his X-wing with R2-D2 (Cleveland). Along their journey, they make a quick stop to see R2’s niece perform at a violin recital. In an attempt to repair their damaged ship, Han decides to take refuge inside an asteroid cave as they navigate through an asteroid field.
