Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991)

In Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991), an American slasher film, the town of Springwood, Ohio is plagued by the return of Freddy Krueger. After killing most of the children and teenagers in the town, he targets the only surviving teenager, John Doe, in a dream. When John wakes up outside the city limits with no memory of who he is or how he got there due to a head injury, he is taken to a shelter for troubled youth. At the shelter, three residents – Spencer, Carlos, and Tracy – plan to runaway from their problems to California. However, when John’s amnesia becomes apparent through a newspaper clipping found in his pocket by Dr. Maggie Burroughs -his assigned physician- she decides to take him on a road trip back to Springwood in hopes of triggering his memory. In a mishap during their journey back, Tracy, Carlos and Spencer are caught when John has a hallucination while driving near Springwood.

Tracy, Spencer, and Carlos venture out of Springwood but pause to rest at the deserted 1428 Elm Street dwelling. Meanwhile, John and Maggie explore the Springwood orphanage and uncover a shocking truth – Freddy had a child. John suspects that he may be this offspring since Freddy spared his life years ago. While back on Elm Street, Carlos and Spencer succumb to sleep and meet their demise at the hands of Freddy. Tracy narrowly escapes death but is roused from her slumber by Maggie. However, as they try to help Spencer in the dream world, John remains asleep. Tragically, Krueger attacks John in his dream before disclosing that his child is actually a girl. In his dying breath, John imparts this information to Maggie. As they make their way back to safety with John’s body, Krueger targets him once more in his dreams. Yet before killing him, Krueger reveals something startling – Maggie discovers her adoption papers and realizes that she is Freddy’s daughter.
