Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981)

Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) is an American slasher film, produced and directed by Steve Miner in his directorial debut, and written by Ron Kurz. Two months after surviving a massacre at Camp Crystal Lake, Alice Hardy is recovering from her traumatic experience. However, she meets an untimely demise in her own apartment when an unknown intruder attacks her with an ice pick while she is feeding her cat. Five years later, Paul Holt opens a school for camp counselors on the same grounds. Among the trainees are Sandra, Jeff, Scott, Terry, Mark, Vickie, Ted, and Ginny – Paul’s assistant. That night around the campfire, Paul shares the legend of Jason Voorhees – a boy who drowned at Camp Crystal Lake in 1957 and whose vengeful mother went on two killing sprees in 1958 and 1979 before being killed by Alice Hardy in self-defense.

Legend has it that Jason, driven mad by his mother’s death, now resides in the nearby woods of Crystal Lake and will stop at nothing to seek revenge on anyone who crosses his path. As Paul concludes the story, a spear-wielding figure startles the group, only to be unmasked as Ted. Paul assures everyone that Jason is no longer a threat and that Camp Crystal Lake has been declared off-limits. However, later that night, Crazy Ralph arrives to warn them but is silently killed from behind a tree. The next day, Jeff and Sandra venture into Camp Crystal Lake and discover a dead dog before being caught by Deputy Winslow and brought back to camp. Later on, while on patrol, Winslow spots a man wearing a burlap sack mask running through the woods and gives chase. The pursuit leads them to an abandoned shack where Winslow is brutally murdered with a hammer claw by the masked man.
