Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives (1986) is an American slasher film written and directed by Tom McLoughlin. After being released from the hospital, Tommy Jarvis goes back to Crystal Lake, now known as Forest Green. Along with his friend Allen Hawes, he plans to finally confront his fears and put an end to his nightmares of Jason Voorhees, the mass murderer he killed in part 4. During a thunderstorm, they visit Jason’s grave to cremate his body. However, Tommy has a flashback of their last encounter and in a fit of rage, impales Jason’s body with a metal fence post. But when two lightning bolts strike the post, it revives Jason with superhuman strength. He then kills Hawes and takes Tommy’s hockey mask. Panicked, Tommy flees to the sheriff’s office to warn the police about Jason’s return.
Instead of believing Tommy’s warnings about Jason, Sheriff Mike Garris arrests and jails him. Despite knowing about Tommy’s past institutionalization, Garris dismisses his claims as hallucinations. Meanwhile, camp counselors Darren Robinson and Lizabeth Mott are on their way to Camp Forest Green but end up getting lost. Unfortunately, they come across Jason and fall victim to his murderous spree. The next day, Megan, a gorgeous blonde with a rebellious side, arrives at her father’s station with her friends Sissy Baker, Cort Andrews, and Paula Mott – Lizabeth’s sister. They report Darren and Lizabeth missing. As they hear Tommy’s story about Jason being an urban legend, Megan is unsure whether to believe him or not, despite feeling drawn to him.
