From Dusk till Dawn (1996), a thrilling American action horror film, was both directed and written by esteemed filmmakers Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino. In the opening scene, fugitive brothers Seth and Richie Gecko commit a violent robbery at a liquor store that results in the deaths of a clerk and Texas Ranger. As they flee, they accidentally cause the building to explode. Later on, while hiding out in an inn room, Seth is livid to discover that his brother has killed a hostage they had taken. In another part of town, Jacob Fuller, a pastor struggling with grief over his late wife, is on vacation with his teenage kids Scott and Kate in their RV. When they stop at the inn, the Geckos abduct them and force them to assist in crossing the Mexican border. Once there, they head to the Titty Twister club in the desert where their contact, Carlos, will meet them at sunrise.
Carlos will lead them to the sanctuary at ‘El Rey’, a place where fugitives seeking safety can enter for a 30 percent admission fee based on their possessions. Despite Richie’s objections, Seth makes it clear that there is no room for negotiation. However, upon entering the bar, they are promptly denied service by the bartender who states that only bikers and truckers are welcome and outsiders are not tolerated. Luckily, Jacob convinces the skeptical bartender of his profession as a truck driver and they are allowed to stay. Seth, feeling discriminated against for being different, harbors resentment towards the bikers and truckers. A violent brawl breaks out and chaos ensues as it is revealed that the bar staff are actually vampires who prey on patrons. Tragically, Richie is bitten by Santanico Pandemonium (a stripper), leading to his death.
