Gemini Man (2019)

Gemini Man (2019) is an American sci-fi action flick helmed by Ang Lee. Henry Brogan, a former Force Recon Marine Scout Sniper, is now a member of the Defense Clandestine Service for the Defense Intelligence Agency. He is assigned to take out a bioterrorist aboard a train in Belgium. However, his spotter alerts him to the presence of a young girl near the target, causing him to delay his shot and ultimately hit the man in the neck instead of his head. Frustrated with his job, Henry decides to retire. In Buttermilk Sound, Georgia, he meets Danny, who manages boat rentals, and reconnects with an old friend named Jack. Jack reveals that their informant Yuri claims that the target on the train was innocent. Pushing for evidence, Henry has Jack arrange a meeting with Yuri. Meanwhile, agency director Lassiter has plans to eliminate Henry as retaliation; however, Clay Verris from rogue private military company ‘GEMINI’ is denied permission to do so.

Upon discovering that Danny is a fellow agent assigned to surveil him, Henry quickly befriends her. Shortly after his house is burglarized by government agents, he contacts his spotter, who tragically perishes along with Jack and his lover. Sensing danger, Henry warns Danny and together they eliminate the hitmen sent after them, realizing that the agency has marked them both for death. Seeking refuge in Colombia at Baron’s residence, Henry’s former colleague helps them plan a meeting with Yuri. However, their peace is abruptly shattered when Clay dispatches his top killer to eliminate Henry. During their intense struggle, Henry notices a disturbing resemblance between himself and the attacker, who turns out to be Clay’s adopted ‘son’ Junior. As they reach a safe house, it is revealed that Junior has been ordered to complete the job. Despite Henry’s denial, Danny suggests that Junior may actually be Henry’s own child due to their striking similarities.
