Go (1999)
Go (1999) is an American crime comedy film that tells the story of three sets of characters whose lives become entangled during the Christmas season. Ronna, struggling to make ends meet and facing eviction, is approached by Adam and Zack to purchase 20 hits of ecstasy. However, their usual dealer Simon is absent, so Ronna turns to Todd, who she owes money to. In order to pay him back, she leaves her friend Claire with him as collateral. Despite some initial suspicions about Burke, a stranger with Adam and Zack, Ronna agrees to sell the pills. However, after realizing they may be in danger due to the pills’ unknown strength, she makes a risky decision and replaces them with over-the-counter pills with the help of Manny. They then attend a rave where Ronna successfully sells the ‘ecstasy’ pill.
After discovering the falseness of the pills, Todd follows Ronna to the rave. She manages to escape and secures an injured Manny in an isolated area, promising to retrieve her car. However, Todd surprises her in the parking lot, brandishing a weapon. But before he can take any further action, a speeding car hits Ronna and drives off, leaving her unconscious on the side of a road. At this point, the story shifts to Simon’s perspective as he joins Marcus, Tiny, and Singh on a trip to Las Vegas. In an unexpected turn of events, Simon crashes a wedding and engages in sexual activity with two bridesmaids before accidentally setting their hotel room ablaze. To avoid trouble, Simon and Marcus abscond from the hotel in a Ferrari they mistakenly think is available for public use.
