Guns, Girls and Gambling (2012)
Guns, Girls and Gambling (2012) is an American action crime thriller film written and directed by Michael Winnick. John Smith’s luck just keeps getting worse. First, his girlfriend leaves him for a doctor. Then, a hooker swipes his wallet at an Apache Reservation casino. To top it off, he loses both an Elvis Impersonation contest and a poker game against fellow impersonators Gay Elvis, Little Person Elvis, Asian Elvis, and the victor, Elvis Elvis. As if things couldn’t get any more complicated, John is falsely accused of stealing a valuable ancient Apache mask from ‘The Chief’, the casino’s owner. Despite witnesses claiming to have seen an impersonator taking it, the guards realize their mistake and The Chief offers John $1,000,000 to retrieve the mask instead. In the midst of all this chaos, hitwoman ‘The Blonde’ appears on the scene with her trademark Edgar Allan Poe quotes and fatally takes down Gay Elvis.
However, she comes up empty-handed in her search for the mask. John discovers Elvis’s address and upon his arrival, meets Cindy, a neighbor. Despite their efforts, they are ambushed by ‘The Cowboy’ and his accomplice Mo, but fortunately manage to escape. John suggests seeking help from the sheriff, but Cindy informs him that the two sheriffs are corrupt, with allegiances to The Chief and The Rancher respectively. It is then revealed that The Rancher had hired the Elvises to steal a mask which he used to own. A flashback reveals that The Rancher’s employee was killed along with his family by Apaches 30 years ago while in possession of the mask. As they speak with The Rancher, he offers John a reward of $1,000,000.
