Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989)

Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989) is an American slasher film co-written and directed by Dominique Othenin-Girard, and starring Donald Pleasence and Danielle Harris. On October 31, 1988, the infamous killer is believed to have met his end after being shot down a mine shaft by Sheriff Ben Meeker and the Illinois state police. However, he miraculously survives and returns to Haddonfield one year later in search of his niece Jamie Lloyd. Jamie, who has been admitted to the Haddonfield Children’s Clinic for attacking her foster mother, displays a mysterious connection with her uncle. Dr. Sam Loomis sees this as an opportunity to finally defeat Michael once and for all. Meanwhile, Michael’s pursuit leads to the death of Jamie’s foster sister Rachel and he begins targeting her friend Tina Williams.

As Jamie’s telepathic link becomes increasingly apparent, she suffers from convulsions whenever those close to her are in danger. Unaware that Michael was pretending to be her deceased boyfriend, Tina joins her friends, Sam and Spitz, at the Tower Farm Halloween party. Jamie, who can now speak somewhat, breaks out of the clinic with her friend Billy Hill in tow when she senses Michael is trailing them. They hurry to where Tina is being chased by Michael in a car. In a final act of bravery, Tina gives her life to save Jamie. With nothing left to lose, Jamie teams up with Loomis to put an end to Michael’s reign of terror.
