Heart Condition (1990)
Heart Condition (1990) is an American comedy film featuring a star-studded cast including Bob Hoskins, Denzel Washington, and Chloe Webb. Washington plays Napoleon Stone, a persuasive lawyer, while Hoskins takes on the role of Jack Moony, a police officer. These two rivals are both determined to bring down the drug rate in their community and team up to solve the murder of Stone’s mysterious killers. Moony, known for his racist and bigoted views, clashes with Stone- an irresistible lawyer who also happens to be dating Moony’s ex-girlfriend. However, as they work together, Moony’s unhealthy habits finally catch up with him and he risks his health and life.
Meanwhile, Stone is killed in what appears to be a car accident. Following a heart attack, Moony awakens to discover that his transplanted heart once belonged to Stone, the deceased lawyer whose ghost is now his constant companion. Stone, in his manifested ghost form, seeks answers about his murder and enlists Moony’s help in finding them. With their past relationship continuing even in death, Stone haunts Moony on this quest for justice. As such, it falls upon Moony to solve Stone’s killing.
