Home (2015)

Home (2015) is an animated film from DreamWorks Animation and 20th Century Fox. The Boov, a timid alien species led by Captain Smek, have invaded Earth under the guise of being friendly. They relocate humans to the Australian Outback and settle into their new homes. Oh, a free-spirited Boov with a knack for accidents, decides to throw a housewarming party at his apartment. However, no one shows up. Meanwhile, Tip and her cat Pig, who managed to avoid capture during the invasion, search for Tip’s mother Lucy in the city. Oh visits Kyle, a grumpy Boov traffic officer, to invite him to the party. Inadvertently, Oh sends the invitation to every alien race in the galaxy including the hostile Gorg, with whom they have had a longstanding conflict ever since Captain Smek stole an artifact from them during a failed peace meeting known as ‘the Shusher’.

Enraged by Oh’s decision to reveal their new home to the Gorg, the Boov label him a fugitive. Seeking refuge, Oh ducks into a convenience store, where he is soon joined by Tip after she crashes the car and enters in search of supplies. Upon spotting Oh, Tip immediately attacks and locks him in a freezer, forcing him to make amends by fixing her car. As they set off in the now-flying ‘Slushious’ to evade the Boov, Oh promises to aid Tip in finding Lucy while secretly plotting his own escape to Antarctica – the sole place on Earth untouched by Boov presence. However, his plans are foiled when Kyle appears and demands Oh’s email password so that Smek can cancel their invitation. After narrowly escaping Kyle’s clutches, Oh and Tip make it to Paris and sneak into the Boov Command Centre. With his computer skills, Oh successfully cancels the invitation before it reaches the Gorg and sets out to locate Lucy with confirmation from his computer that she is in Australia.
