Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015)

Hotel Transylvania 2 (2015) is an American animated monster comedy film created by Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation with support from LStar Capital. Produced by Sony Pictures Imageworks and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing, it continues the story of Mavis and Johnny following their marriage, which was approved by her father Count Dracula. As they prepare for their son Dennis’s fifth birthday, Drac grows concerned that the child has yet to develop vampire powers. To protect him from potential dangers in Transylvania, Mavis suggests moving to Johnny’s hometown of Santa Cruz, California for a more ‘normal’ upbringing, much to Drac’s dismay. In order to convince her otherwise, he asks Johnny to bring Mavis to visit his parents in California while he takes care of Dennis at the hotel.

With a firm belief that Dennis is a ‘late bloomer’ in terms of becoming a monster, Drac enlists the help of his comrades Frank, Wayne, Griffin, Murray, and Blobby to aid in training Dennis. However, each attempt made by them proves to be unsuccessful. In hopes of finding a solution, Drac suggests returning to Camp Winnepacaca – where he spent his summers as a child. However, upon arriving at the camp, they discover that it is now much safer and geared towards children. In one final effort to spark Dennis’ transformation into a bat, Drac attempts to throw him off an unstable tower. But despite their efforts, Dennis remains unchanged and Drac swoops down to rescue him just in time. Unfortunately, Frank’s clumsy actions result in the tower collapsing onto a nearby campfire, causing chaos and setting both the tower and a panicked Frank ablaze. The fire quickly spreads throughout the entire camp as Frank runs through the buildings in distress.
