How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming (2019) is an animated short film by DreamWorks, helmed by Tim Johnson. As New Berk prepares for the festive Snoggletog season, Hiccup and Astrid discover that their children, Zephyr and Nuffink, have acquired a fear of dragons upon uncovering some of Stoick’s old books. Determined to prevent their offspring from inheriting the same animosity towards dragons as their ancestors did, Astrid suggests reviving the Snoggletog Pageant, which tells the story of how Vikings and dragons found harmony. Gobber eagerly joins forces with them in organizing the pageant, viewing it as an opportunity to remind the youth of New Berk of Stoick’s profound impact on their community. He takes on the role of Stoick, while Tuffnut portrays Hiccup and Hiccup himself designs a mechanical Toothless suit.

In the Hidden World, Toothless creates a drawing in the sand depicting Hiccup and New Berk. The Light Fury and their offspring are fascinated by the picture’s origin and venture to New Berk while their parents sleep. Upon realizing their children are missing, Toothless and the Light Fury frantically search for them. Meanwhile, the Night Lights stealthily explore the village as preparations for a pageant are underway. They catch a glimpse of Hiccup before stumbling upon his Toothless costume. Eventually, Toothless and the Light Fury locate their children but opt to observe the pageant from afar together.
