Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade (2016)

Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade (2016) is an animated television special created by Blue Sky Studios and directed by Ricardo Curtis. Set five years after the fourth film and four months before the fifth, it follows Manny and his group as they prepare for Easter. While Ellie struggles to decorate on her own, Manny and Diego try to catch glimpses of hawk fights. Meanwhile, Crash and Eddie’s April Fools’ prank on Peaches proves unsuccessful. Peaches, eager to spend time with her friends, requests to celebrate Easter with them instead. Scrat’s latest dig leads him to his beloved acorn once again, but it quickly turns into a tree and he loses it once more. In the midst of all this, Sid volunteers to watch over some eggs for their owners, much to the chagrin of Manny and Diego.

In the past three months, pirate hare Squint has resided in his home hole with his lazy rabbit sibling, Clint, and their mother. Once back on his feet, Squint sets his sights on Manny and his group, seeking revenge for their actions against Captain Gutt and his vessel. He confronts them, demanding a new ship, but is met with refusal. Undeterred, Squint devises a plan to frame Sid for the theft of some eggs while he sleeps. To clear Sid’s name, Manny and Diego embark on a search for the eggs, with assistance from Clint who provides a map painted by Squint to blend in with their surroundings. Once they retrieve the eggs and see through the disguise, they realize one is missing. Squint warns that if they do not build him a new ship by tomorrow, the egg will suffer consequences.
