Jurassic Park III (2001)

Jurassic Park III (2001) is an American science fiction action film directed by Joe Johnston and written by Peter Buchman, Alexander Payne, and Jim Taylor. The story follows twelve-year-old Eric Kirby and his mother’s boyfriend, Ben Hildebrand, who find themselves parasailing near the restricted Isla Sorna. After their boat enters a dense fog, they are attacked by an unknown creature which leads to Ben detaching the line and both of them drifting towards the island. On the other side of events, paleontologist Alan Grant struggles with securing funding for his research on Velociraptors and dismisses the public’s fascination with what happened on Isla Nublar. He shares his findings with colleague Ellie Sattler and speculates that Velociraptors were highly intelligent and sociable creatures even surpassing primates. Meanwhile in Montana, Grant’s assistant Billy Brennan utilizes a three-dimensional printer to recreate a Velociraptor larynx.

A seemingly wealthy couple, Paul and Amanda Kirby, offer to fund Grant’s research in exchange for an illegal aerial tour of Isla Sorna. Despite his reluctance, Grant agrees and boards the plane with Billy, two of the Kirbys’ hired companions named Udesky and Cooper, as well as their pilot M.B. Nash. However, upon learning that the Kirbys plan to land on the island, Grant protests but is knocked unconscious by Cooper. When he comes to, they have already landed and quickly reboard the plane after spotting a large theropod approaching the runway. In the chaos, Cooper is left behind and devoured by the Spinosaurus that emerges soon after. The aircraft collides with the dinosaur before crashing into the trees. As they try to escape on foot, they encounter a Tyrannosaurus but are saved when it is defeated by the Spinosaurus in an epic showdown.
