Jurassic World Dominion (2022)

Jurassic World Dominion (2022), an American sci-fi action film, follows the events of four years after the Lockwood Estate incident and volcanic eruption on Isla Nublar. The result? De-extinct dinosaurs running wild on Earth, causing ecological disasters and facing cruelties. In response to the global chaos, Biosyn Genetics has established a dinosaur preserve in the Dolomite Mountains, Italy. There, they conduct groundbreaking genomics research with potential pharmacological applications. Meanwhile, Claire Dearing, Zia Rodriguez, and Franklin Webb continue their work with the Dinosaur Protection Group to investigate illegal dinosaur breeding sites. Owen Grady also plays his part as a wrangler relocating stray dinosaurs but secretly resides in a remote cabin in the Sierra Nevada Mountains with Claire and Maisie Lockwood – Benjamin Lockwood’s biogenetic granddaughter. Maisie is protected from those seeking to exploit her unique genetic makeup while she names Blue’s hatchling Beta after forming a bond. However, Maisie becomes increasingly frustrated living in seclusion and sneaks away one day. As a result, she gets kidnapped by mercenaries who also capture Beta. Without hesitation, Owen and Claire launch a rescue effort to save them both.

In southern United States, giant locust swarms are destroying crops. Dr. Ellie Sattler, a paleobotanist, notices that Biosyn’s corporate crops are left untouched by the insects, leading to suspicions of their involvement. To investigate further, Ellie turns to her former colleague Dr. Alan Grant who is a paleontologist. They discover that the locusts have been genetically modified with both Cretaceous-period insect DNA and modern migratory locusts. Meanwhile, Franklin from the CIA’s dangerous species division informs Claire and Owen about the whereabouts of the kidnappers they are tracking – Malta. As they arrive there, they team up with Owen’s old Jurassic World coworker Barry Sembène from French Intelligence to infiltrate a dinosaur black market where they face havoc caused by carnivorous dinosaurs set loose during their mission. Eventually, with Barry’s assistance, they interrogate the masterminds behind the kidnapping and find out that Maisie and Beta were taken to Biosyn. Thankfully, sympathetic cargo pilot Kayla Watts had witnessed Maisie being trafficked and agrees to fly them there.
