Four additional episodes aired in syndication from May 3 to 6, 2010. Set in the fictional town of Arlen, Texas, the show revolves around the Hill family. Hank Hill, a responsible, hard-working, and honest propane salesman and family man, serves as the head of the household. He also works as an assistant manager at Strickland Propane where he frequently uses his catchphrase ‘propane and propane accessories’. Despite his traditional conservative values being challenged by the changing world, Hank’s decency always prevails. As a result, he often becomes the go-to leader for his friends and family. His wife Peggy, who is originally from Montana, is a substitute Spanish teacher with a limited grasp of the language.
In addition to her role as a freelance newspaper columnist at The Arlen Bystander, Peggy is also known for her accomplishments as a Boggle champion, notary public, softball pitcher, and real estate agent. She exudes confidence, sometimes bordering on obliviousness. Her and Hank’s only child, Bobby Hill, is currently a student at Tom Landry Middle School. While his unconventional hobbies and lack of athletic ability may confuse his more traditional father, Peggy fully supports Bobby’s interests in prop comedy and cooking. The Hill household also includes Peggy’s naïve and emotional niece Luanne Platter, who lives with them due to her difficult family situation. Initially resistant to this arrangement, Hank eventually accepts Luanne as a member of the family. Luanne attends beauty school and has her own Christian-themed puppet show on local cable access TV. Eventually, she falls in love with Elroy ‘Lucky’ Kleinschmidt, a layabout who gained financial stability through a frivolous lawsuit settlement.
