Knight and Day (2010)
Knight and Day (2010), a satirical action comedy film, follows the chaotic journey of June Havens as she crosses paths with Roy Miller at the airport while traveling back to Boston. Their encounter results in June being put on a later flight by CIA agent John Fitzgerald, who mistakenly believes she is working with Roy. In an unexpected turn of events, Roy takes control of the plane after subduing both passengers and crew members who were actually agents sent by Fitzgerald. During the chaos, June is drugged and warned about potential dangers ahead. Upon returning home, June discovers that her sister April wants to sell their father’s 1966 Pontiac GTO tri-power which was intended to be a wedding gift from June. However, before she can even process this information, Fitzgerald and his agents arrive to take her away. Fortunately, Roy comes to her rescue and takes down several agents in a thrilling highway chase.
Fleeing to her ex-boyfriend Rodney, a firefighter, before Roy arrives and feigns taking June as a hostage while shooting Rodney in the process. Roy manages to convince June of her safety under his protection and also reveals the possession of Zephyr – a perpetual energy battery. As it turns out, he was entrusted with guarding its inventor Simon Feck until Fitzgerald’s attempt to steal the battery ended up framing Roy instead. In Brooklyn, they find out that Feck has gone into hiding but luckily left a clue for Roy to follow him to the Alps. The duo faces an attack from henchmen sent by Spanish arms dealer Antonio Quintana. Despite getting drugged again causing her to drift in and out of consciousness, they manage to escape capture and reach Roy’s remote island hideout. However, when June receives a call from her sister, she unknowingly leads Quintana’s men straight to their location.
