Kung Fu Panda Holiday (2010) is a delightful animated Christmas special from DreamWorks Animation, directed by Tim Johnson. Po, the lovable panda and Dragon Warrior, is faced with a major challenge when Master Shifu tasks him with organizing the prestigious Winter Feast at the Jade Palace. Despite his enthusiasm for the event, Po longs to spend the holiday with his father Mr. Ping. In an effort to have him cater the feast, Po turns down top chefs from all over China. However, Mr. Ping believes Po is more concerned with his role as the Dragon Warrior and decides to stay at his restaurant to feed those without a place to dine on this special day. Filled with guilt, Po takes it upon himself to cook for the feast alone but soon finds himself juggling multiple responsibilities and dealing with Wo Hop, a rabbit chef seeking redemption after being shamed by Po earlier on.
After Wo Hop’s comment about the limitations of kung fu, Po decides to ask the Furious Five for assistance with the feast preparations while he works with Wo Hop in the kitchen. As the Winter Feast approaches, Po realizes that he should spend the holiday with his father and leaves the masters to help Mr. Ping prepare food for the townspeople. Meanwhile, Mr. Ping realizes he had been unfair to his son by neglecting him while focusing on his business, and apologizes. With their relationship mended, father and son work together skillfully to create a wonderful feast.
