Last Seen Alive (2022)
Last Seen Alive (2022), an American action thriller film directed by Brian Goodman and written by Marc Frydman, begins with Detective Paterson accusing a man named Knuckles of kidnapping and threatening him with life in prison. As the detective tightens his grip on Knuckles’ throat, he confesses, “she’s dead.” Wealthy real-estate agent Will Spann and his wife Lisa are headed to her parents’ house so she can have some alone time. While stopping for gas along the way, Lisa enters the store to buy a bottle of water. Upon leaving the store, she encounters a man but is soon blocked from view by a large white truck pulling up. Meanwhile, Will finishes filling up their car and searches for Lisa inside the store and bathrooms but cannot find her.
As panic sets in, he frantically searches the entire area, repeatedly calling her phone and asking if anyone has seen her. Eventually, he contacts the local police department to file a report and then makes his way to Lisa’s parents’ house. Upon arrival, Will engages in a heated discussion with Barry and Anna Adams, struggling to convey what has occurred and seeking their assistance in locating Lisa. A flashback reveals the underlying tension between the couple as Lisa expresses a desire for some time apart but cannot provide a clear reason for her sudden disinterest in their marriage. Will returns to the gas station where he meets Detective Paterson, who proceeds to interrogate the gas station clerk, Oscar. Inquiring about security footage, Paterson is met with an excuse from Oscar that the cameras are not functioning properly.
