No Time for Nuts (2006)

No Time for Nuts (2006), released by Blue Sky Studios, features Scrat from Ice Age. In between the second and third films, Scrat is determined to hide his acorn, which he has just retrieved. However, his search leads him to a time machine buried beneath an icy remains of a human time traveler. Suddenly activated, the machine transports Scrat to May 26, 20,000 B.C. While investigating the contraption, he accidentally triggers a button that zaps his acorn. Frustrated and angry, Scrat tries to attack the machine but gets zapped as well, sending him to the Middle Ages. There he discovers his acorn wedged under a large rock and decides to use Excalibur – the legendary sword in the stone – to retrieve it.

While brandishing his sword, he unexpectedly faces a barrage of arrows unleashed by an unidentified group of archers. With quick reflexes, he utilizes the weapon as a shield to protect himself. In the frenzy, the acorn is inadvertently released from his grasp. He swiftly grabs both the acorn and the time machine before seeking refuge in the safety of a cannon barrel. As the cannon is fired, he hurtles toward a rain of arrows heading his way. In a moment of desperation, he uses the time machine to zap the acorn before narrowly activating it for himself. When he emerges from his journey, he finds himself in Ancient Rome’s Coliseum. As he reaches for his beloved acorn, an unexpected encounter with a passing horse-drawn chariot ensues when his tail gets caught and dragged along. Despite trying to break free from this predicament, he eventually starts enjoying the ride until a collision with a rock abruptly cuts it short. Undeterred, he finally retrieves his precious acorn and proudly presents it to an adoring crowd as if it were a symbol of victory in gladiatorial combat.
