Now You See Me 2 (2016)

Now You See Me 2 (2016) is an American heist movie directed by Jon M. Chu, written by Ed Solomon and with a story by Solomon and Peter Chiarelli. The Four Horsemen are back for another wild adventure as they head to the streets of Macau to execute their most outrageous stunt yet. Their goal is to unmask a new enemy who has tried to eliminate them once and for all. Will they triumph in their mission and expose this man, or will they fail miserably and spend the rest of their lives behind bars? In this sequel, illusionists Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Lizzy Caplan and Dave Franco reprise their roles as the Four Horsemen. This time, they plan to pull off an astounding trick in order to clear their names and reveal the immoral actions of tech mogul Walter Mabry. However, Mabry turns out to be one step ahead and coerces the group into stealing a groundbreaking decryption device for him.

It has been 18 months since the Four Horsemen got away from the FBI’s grasp, and now they await instructions from the Eye society’s oracle. Special Agent Dylan Rhodes of the FBI enlists their help to take down corrupt tech CEO Owen Case, whose new cell phone has a hidden agenda of collecting and selling personal data on the black market. However, their mission is foiled by an unknown figure who exposes Jack’s fake death. Seeking refuge in Macau, they are apprehended by Merrit’s resentful twin brother Chase and former business partner Walter Mabry. These two individuals demand that the group use only magic shop tools to steal back the company and chip they had created. Meanwhile, Thaddeus Bradley, whom they had wrongfully framed for their previous heists, teams up with Dylan after being released from prison. As these different parties clash and more secrets come to light, the plot thickens even further.
