Graham Baker’s Omen III: The Final Conflict (1981) is a supernatural horror film that follows the story of Damien Thorn, a 32-year-old CEO of an international conglomerate. After the U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom commits a brutal suicide, Damien is appointed to take his place – a position once held by his adoptive father, Robert Thorn. Fully embracing his unholy ancestry and having run his company for seven years, Damien embarks on a mission to stop the Second Coming of Christ and shape his own destiny. However, Father DeCarlo, a priest from the same monastery where Damien’s adoptive father spent his final days, has been closely observing him since Robert’s death. With the Seven Daggers of Megiddo retrieved from the ruins of the Thorn Museum in Chicago after a fire in the second film, DeCarlo and six other priests join forces to end Damien’s reign and find the Christ child.
Meanwhile, Damien develops a romantic relationship with journalist Kate Reynolds. As he discovers his attackers and eliminates all except DeCarlo over time, he takes advantage of Reynolds’s son Peter’s longing for a father figure to groom him as a follower. When the stars align in the Cassiopeia constellation on March 24, 1981, creating a second Star of Bethlehem, Damien understands it as a signal of the Second Coming and instructs his followers to eliminate all male infants born in the United Kingdom on that morning to prevent the rise of Christ. Following a string of 31 infant fatalities, Reynolds meets with DeCarlo who exposes Damien’s true identity and provides evidence of the murders.
