Parenthood (2010 — 2015)

Parenthood (2010–2015) is a beloved American sitcom created by Jason Katims and produced by Imagine Television and Universal Television for NBC. It follows the Braverman family, including an older couple, their four children, and their own families. From March 2, 2010 to January 29, 2015, the series aired for six seasons. It was met with acclaim from TV critics and garnered numerous nominations and accolades such as a Vision Award, a Critics’ Choice Television Award, two Television Academy Honors awards, four Young Artist Awards, and three Entertainment Industries Council PRISM Awards. However, despite its positive reception, the show struggled to attract a large audience; while the pilot saw high viewership numbers, ratings decreased as the series went on.
Patriarch Zeek and matriarch Camille Braverman hold the family together while raising their adult children. Despite being married for 46 years, they have learned to bury their issues for the sake of their kids’ happiness. Adam, the eldest son, is a shining example of success – running his own shoe company, happily married with two kids (a boy and girl), and living in a beautiful home. He’s only missing a dog to complete his ‘American Dream’. Sarah is the unstable daughter who has returned home at thirty-eight years old with her rebellious daughter and sensitive son to live with Zeek and Camille. Meanwhile, Crosby is a carefree bachelor living on a docked boat, completely unaware that his carefree lifestyle is about to be turned upside down. Lastly, we have Julia, a successful bread-winning lawyer whose husband takes on the role of stay-at-home dad. Each family will face their own unique challenges, but it’s how they handle them that will determine whether they stay together or fall apart.
