Partly Cloudy (2009) is an American computer-animated comedy short film, written and directed by Peter Sohn and produced by Kevin Reher. Throughout the day, jovial clouds in the sky create sweet and endearing babies – human boys and girls, kittens, puppies, and various other creatures – entrusting them to storks for delivery to their awaiting families. However, one cloud named Gus has a unique task: crafting adorable yet not-so-snuggly animals. His loyal delivery stork, Peck, often bears the brunt of this assignment, enduring bites from crocodiles, headbutts from bighorn sheep, and prickles from porcupines. When Peck discovers his next delivery is a baby shark, he can’t help but feel a twinge of anxiety and takes off in flight.

After being rejected and feeling down, Gus creates a brief thunderstorm and cries with rain falling from beneath him. Luckily, Peck comes back with protective gear made by another cloud to keep Gus safe (as previously mentioned when the same cloud created a football-loving baby). This immediately lifts Gus’ mood and he gives Peck an electric eel to deliver. Despite the protective equipment, Peck still gets shocked but remains in good spirits, albeit slightly frazzled.
