Pee-wee's Big Holiday (2016)

Pee-wee’s Big Holiday (2016) is a feature film directed by John Lee and penned by Paul Reubens and Paul Rust. As a well-liked resident of Fairville, Pee-wee Herman works at Dan’s Diner as a fry cook. Despite his reputation for tasty diner fare, Pee-wee’s world is thrown into disarray when his band breaks up. However, things take an unexpected turn when he meets actor Joe Manganiello and is persuaded to embark on his first journey out of Fairville to attend Joe’s birthday celebration in New York City. On the way, Pee-wee intervenes in a chase involving three women – Pepper, Freckles, and Bella (who coincidentally shares his nickname). But little does he know that these women are actually bank robbers on the run.

After his Fiat is stolen by the women, Pee-wee gets a ride from Gordon, a travelling salesman. They stop at a snake farm where Gordon gives Pee-wee a disguise kit. Despite attempts to hitch-hike, Pee-wee ends up spending the night at Farmer Brown’s farmhouse. The farmer’s nine daughters all have their eyes on Pee-wee and spend the evening flirting with him. The next morning, Farmer Brown suggests that Pee-wee marry one of his daughters due to their admiration for him. During the wedding ceremony, Pee-wee uses his disguise kit to escape and ends up in an RV with four hairdressers on their way to a contest. Although still far from New York, the hair stylists encourage Pee-wee to keep going.
