Pieces of Her (2022) is a thrilling drama series on Netflix, created by Charlotte Stoudt and based on the novel of the same name by Karin Slaughter. The story follows Andy, a 30-year-old woman who finds herself in the midst of a deadly shooting at a local diner. As she processes the events and her mother’s swift actions to eliminate the threat, Andy’s perception of their relationship changes. However, her mother’s past quickly catches up to them and Andy must flee as she seeks to uncover buried truths.
Amidst a routine outing to the mall on a Saturday afternoon, a young woman’s perception of her mother is irreversibly altered when violence erupts unexpectedly. As individuals from her mother’s past resurface, she is compelled to flee and, in doing so, gradually uncovers hidden mysteries about her mother’s past and her own childhood.
