The Woman in the Room (1984) marked director Frank Darabont’s entry into filmmaking. Based on a story by Stephen King of the same name, it follows a dying woman who can’t find peace, prompting her lawyer son to make a drastic choice that ultimately results in his own torment. Darabont acquired the rights to this tale from King’s collection Night Shift.
