In 2009, DreamWorks Animation produced and Paramount Pictures distributed Monsters vs. Aliens (2009), an American animated sci-fi comedy film. Before her wedding to local weatherman Derek Dietl in Modesto, California, Susan Murphy is hit by a meteorite from a destroyed planet which causes her to transform into a 50-foot giantess with white hair. The incident leads to the destruction of the church where the ceremony was taking place and Susan is subsequently captured by a U.S. military group.
