RED 2 (2013)

Red 2 (2013), an American action comedy film, is the sequel to the 2010 film Red. Based on the limited comic book series of the same name by Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner, published under DC Comics imprint Homage, it picks up three years after its predecessor. Ex-CIA operative Frank Moses attempts to lead a peaceful life with his girlfriend Sarah Ross but is interrupted when Marvin Boggs asserts that their past enemies are still in pursuit. After Marvin’s tragic death, Frank is questioned at an FBI facility by government agents led by corrupt agent Jack Horton. Horton and his team attack the facility and threaten to harm Sarah unless Frank provides them with information. With help from the still-living Marvin, Frank manages to evade Horton and goes on the run with Sarah.

Marvin reveals that he and Frank have become targets of Operation Nightshade, a covert mission from the Cold War aimed at sneaking a nuclear weapon into Russia. Horton manages to persuade multiple international agencies that Frank and his associates are dangerous fugitives. Victoria, an old ally of Frank’s, informs him that MI6 has hired her to eliminate the group. To make matters worse, Han Cho-Bai, a renowned assassin seeking vengeance against Frank, is also on their trail. In their escape, Frank, Marvin, and Sarah hijack Han’s plane and head to Paris in search of “The Frog”, all while being pursued by both American authorities and Han himself. In Paris, they reunite with Katja Petrokovich, a Russian secret agent who had previously been romantically involved with Frank and is now investigating Nightshade as well.
